Our Program
Sojourners’ Alliance operates a transitional housing facility for homeless men, women and families. It is currently the only shelter for single individuals between Boise and Couer
d’Alene. Our program offers longterm housing (up to two years maximum), supplemental food assistance, on-site case management, counseling services, and referrals to other area agencies in an effort to help our clients become self-sufficient and get back on their feet.
How to Apply
1. Call the office at 208-883-3438 to speak with a
staff member for a pre-intake interview over the phone.
2. Following this interview, staff may meet to discuss whether this program is appropriate for the potential client.
3. If all requirements and criteria are met, an appointment will be made to come in for the intake with the case manager.
4. At this point, policies will be reviewed with the client, all necessary paperwork will be signed, and the client will be ready to move in to the facility.
Important Points to Remember:
- Intake appointments are not scheduled for the same day as the phone interview; the case manager needs
advance notice to prepare for the face-to-face intake
- New clients cannot be brought in on Fridays; the intake appointment will be scheduled for the following week
- Missing a scheduled appointment results in the individual being ineligible for the program for 30 days;
call to cancel or reschedule if necessary
