Program Requirements
In order to enter the program, prospective
clients are required to:
- Meet the federal definition of homelessness
- Participate in weekly case management meetings and group meetings with other housing users
- Sign a release of information form necessary for collaboration with other agencies on client’s behalf
- Supply own transportation and childcare
- Participate in the Permanent Housing Savings Account program
- Agree to stay for a minimum length of time
- Agree to an entry urinalysis for drug testing, and random urinalyses if needed
- Comply with all policies for housing clients, including maintaining a drug, alcohol and violence free environment
Services may be denied for
the following reasons:
- Past history of violent crime
- Hostile, rude, assaultive or uncooperative during any intake procedure
- No pets are allowed in housing facilities
- Fleeing a domestic violence situation (people in such circumstances are referred to Alternatives to Violence of the Palouse)


What is “transitional housing”?
